Position Overview:
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a vital role in the firm's tax practice, overseeing a designated book of clients with a total revenue of $300,000.
You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of tax returns, providing expert tax advice, and building strong client relationships.
Your expertise will be crucial in guiding clients through complex tax regulations and identifying opportunities for tax optimization.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of clients with an aggregate revenue of $300,000, providing comprehensive tax services and acting as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters.
Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues, staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and identifying opportunities for tax savings and optimizations.
Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information, assess their tax liabilities, and provide strategic tax planning recommendations.
Assist in resolving tax inquiries, audits, and notices from tax authorities on behalf of clients, ensuring a professional and timely resolution.
Mentor and guide junior staff members, providing training and support in tax preparation, research, and client communication.
Develop and nurture strong client relationships, fostering trust and understanding to become a trusted advisor for their financial needs.
Participate in firm-wide initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, contribute to process improvements, and support the growth of the tax practice.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation or in process.
3-5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within a CPA firm environment.
In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and meet deadlines.
